Daytona Beach Pier Offers the Best View of Florida’s Fun Coast

By Kirby Collins

Daytona Beach, FL - At the east end of Main Street in Daytona Beach sits a landmark that has stood for 106 Years, the Daytona Beach Pier, also known as the Main Street Pier. The Pier is 1000 feet long, the longest on the east coast and is a great place for getting a bird’s eye view of the coastline and all the hotels along the beach.

The Pier is always a popular place to visit during Biketoberfest. The Daytona Beach Pier has restaurant with a full liquor bar. There is also a sky-lift that will take you to the end of the pier and back.

Fishing on Daytona Beach Pier allows locals and visitors to catch a wide variety of fish year round. While I was there I saw a few huge whiting and croakers being caught. During the upcoming fall fishing season there will be many more as well as bluefish and Spanish mackerel, even a few tarpon may cruise by as the fall mullet run begins.

The Daytona Beach Pier is located at East end of Main Street in Daytona Beach.
